Season
Summary
2006 was certainly a year of transition for
the
program marked by the arrival of 13 new players to the Fall
roster.
After a tough 1-5 start to the season, the women’s
soccer team won 11 games in a row to win the AMCC Regular Season Title
with an
undefeated conference record. In the
conference playoffs, FSU defeated Hilbert 2-1 before losing a
hard-fought contest
against Penn St-Behrend 2-1. FSU was
invited to participate in the ECAC South Region Tournament but was
defeated by Westminster 2-0 in the
first round.

Senior- Lindsay Hoffman
|
|
|
Only the 3rd Regional All-American
in FSU
women’s soccer history, Lindsay started all 39 games in her 2-years at
FSU
after transferring from Division I East Tennessee State. She had
an immediate
impact on the success of the team scoring 17 goals and assisting 14
others over
two seasons. She led the team in scoring as a Senior Captain and
was
named AMCC Conference Player of the Year - the 4th FSU player in 6
years to
earn that honor. A true take-on artist with the ball, Lindsay’s
dynamic
athleticism, skill, pace, and also her sense of humor - will truly be
missed at
FSU.
