Season Summary
2005 saw more
unprecedented success for the FSU
women's soccer program. After a difficult non-conference schedule
that resulted in a 1-5-1 start, the FSU team went undefeated in their
next 12 games in route to a 5th straight appearance in the NCAA
Tournament. In AMCC play,
the FSU team did not lose a game and allowed only one goal on their way
to an unprecedented 5th consecutive conference
championship. A difficult draw in the NCAA Tournament had
FSU travel for their first-round game to nationally ranked Denison (#8)
where the Bobcats were defeated 2-0. The 2005 team set seasonal records
for least
goals allowed (13) and goals against average (.63) and had lost only 1
conference game in three years. The team again won the NSCAA Team
Academic Award and graduated 5 outstanding seniors who went 33-3-2 in
the AMCC in their four year careers.

2005 FSU Women’s Soccer Seniors
Jodie Gittleson, Beth Hlebasko, Shera Rowan, Micaela Karinshak, Teri
Galt
These Four-Year soccer-athletes went 33-3-2 for a .89 winning
percentage against AMCC teams, participating in an era of conference
domination that was exceptional for any division or region in the
nation. During their time here, FSU won four consecutive
conference tournament championships, three regular-season
championships, and lost only one conference game in their final three
years. These student-athletes helped elevate Frostburg State as a
regional power in women’s soccer for the foreseeable future - quite a
legacy.
